Chen Wang(born in 2003) is a solo artist and session guitarist from Jinan, China, now based in Boston, MA. Deeply inspired by guitar legends such as Yngwie Malmsteen, John Petrucci, Paul Gilbert, Jack Gardiner, and Guthrie Govan, Chen has developed a virtuosic yet expressive style that blends technical brilliance with melodic sophistication.

 

At the age of 12, influenced by his mother’s love for rock and metal music, Chen transitioned from classical piano to guitar. His professional journey officially began at prestigious Berklee College of Music, where he has since performed in hundreds of shows both on and off campus — including studio recordings, charity concerts, live radio broadcasts, and venues ranging from intimate house shows to large-scale stadiums.
 
Chen is also an active collaborator and recording guitarist, having contributed to numerous original music projects. In 2023, he earned 3rd place nationally in the Ibanez Flying Fingers Guitar Contest, further establishing his presence as a rising guitarist. He is currently working on his debut solo album, which will be released in next year.
 
In addition to performing, Chen is passionate about music education and content creation. He regularly teaches guitar and shares performance videos, tutorials, and creative musical content across video platforms and social media, aiming to inspire and connect with a broader musical community.
